CNR-IRSA activities related to INHABIT

The reach is rather heterogeneous in terms of natural and anthropogenic habitat characteristics. The reach is located in a sparsely populated area, mainly characterized by natural grassland and rough pastures, with the presence of some orchards along one bank. Channel has moderate sinuosity and it is characterized by some erosion of the riverbed, creating portions of channel overdeepening. A wide berm is present along the banks for most of the reach. Reinforcement on the top of the banks is present together with a narrow vegetation strip.
Field form

Il tratto presenta una certa eterogeneità per quanto riguarda le caratteristiche di habitat osservate, siano esse naturali o antropiche. Il tratto ricade in un’area scarsamente antropizzata, caratterizzata prevalentemente da prati e pascoli, con la presenza di frutteti lungo una sponda. L’andamento dell’alveo presenta una moderata sinuosità e si caratterizza per alcuni fenomeni di erosione che danno luogo a incisioni dell’alveo, talvolta evidenti. Per la maggior parte del tratto lungo le sponde è presente una ampia berm, con rinforzo sulla sommità ed una fascia riparia semi continua di modesta estensione.
